Product Specialist II (Engineering)

Job Description and Responsibilities
Ensure material is released for shipping in a timely fashion
Request chemical and mechanical testing as needed
Evaluating surface inspection results
Navigate all software packages related to certification
Report on quality problems to local Ops
Assist in preparation of site QA documents and inspection procedures/forms
Review customer and industry specifications
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or related experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of three (3) years' experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment (Steel or tubular manufacturing preferred)
Good knowledge of steel processes and tubular products
Experience in statistical data analysis and process analysis
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn other software applications
Six-sigma green belt or better qualifications, an asset
