Course Development Teacher - Energy and Mines - Oil and Gas & Energy Production (Finance)

Temporary Course Development Teacher - Energy and Mines - Oil and Gas & Energy Production

Sask DLC requires a temporary Course Development Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This position will focus on the development of new courses in Energy and Mines - Oil and Gas and Energy Production. The position will commence on September 2, 2025, and conclude on June 26, 2026. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate.

Sask DLC is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLC's head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and regional campuses located in Estevan, Kenaston, La Ronge, Moose Jaw, Neilburg, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Yorkton.

Primary Responsibilities

Course Development
  • Design and develop engaging, curriculum-aligned online courses.
  • Draft instructional content using MS Word, ensuring clarity and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Design Consultants, Subject Matter Experts, and technical staff to implement content into the Moodle environment.
  • For the specialized role: develop new courses in Energy and Mines and Oil and Gas, integrating multimedia, interactive elements, and assessment strategies.

Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with the Course Development Team and Instructional Design Consultants.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and professional learning opportunities.
  • Provide input and feedback on course development processes and tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep understanding of Saskatchewan curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Proficiency in drafting instructional content using MS Word.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Moodle, Microsoft 365, and other educational technologies.
  • Technical skills in areas such as audio production, video editing, or web development considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated soft skills such as adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
  • Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate with SPTRB and membership with STF.
  • Experience in course development or online teaching considered an asset.
  • Subject matter expertise in Energy and Mines and/or Oil and Gas preferred for the specialized role.
