Amsted Canada has established a new Business Center in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.  We are elevating our Global Technology teams in several areas including but not limited to Security, Development, Infrastructure, Emerging Technology, SAP, and Engineering.  These teams are instrumental in providing support to all Amsted affiliate locations worldwide.

Position Details 

The SAP Analyst (SD) position is part of our SAP Applications support team. The analyst will engage directly with business users, process owners as well as interact with the SAP support team and other application support teams to provide seamless support to the business. The Analyst will be part of the team managing SAP business process changes & configuration in the SD module and also supporting SD and shipping functions integrating with other external applications where applicable.

What you will do:

  • Configure, maintain and support SAP SD Module areas of SAP, including configuration and maintenance
  • Plan, design, develop, test, deploy and support SAP solutions. Ensure that business requirements and technical direction are consistent with global design across all business units and prepare well-defined Business Process Documents. 
  • Research SAP Best Practices and guide the business to adopt consistent with strategic alignment. Execute and document configuration activities of assigned SAP modules to support global business requirements. 
  • Recommend and prototype solution options (including advantages and disadvantages of each option) for presentation to the user community.
  • Ensure Change Control procedures are met for on-going change/enhancement projects. Analyze and evaluate systems requirements for system solutions that improve business processes and increase productivity. 
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications from which programs will be written; and test, debug and document such programs. Identify and perform bug fixing through logging OSS notes with SAP. 
  • Perform end-user training and develop training manuals. Develop and execute Unit and Integration tests as necessary to support the implementation of new or changed functionalities. 
  • Function at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis and provide guidance and mentoring to team members.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's degree in information management, Computer Science or any Business-related field
  • Must have 3+ Years of SAP SD Functional experience.  Candidates with exposure to both ECC and S4 HANA preferred
  • Experience with SAP CRM is a big plus
  • Experience in a production support environment will be a definite advantage
  • Basic understanding of SAP Security Roles / Profiles
  • Debugging skills to identify technical issues and work with the development team to deploy solutions
  • Proficiency in configuration related to Sales Order processing, Delivery processing, Billing processing, SD Document Flow and Pricing condition tables
  • Configuration of the pricing procedures, VOFM routines, condition types, access sequences
  • Detailed knowledge of business processes within SAP Supply Chain and Logistics Execution modules and other proven cross functional experience across MM, PP & SD
  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements and processes into design documents
  • Experienced in configuring EDI Functions including mapping for commonly used EDI transactions in SD

Key Challenges: 

  • Ability to Interact and mentor a team of SAP functional Analysts with varying SAP experience in different geographical locations and ensuring seamless SAP support and SAP configuration integrity
  • Ability to travel (10%) within Canada and United States
  • Ability to work with all business partners across the organization to ensure standard SAP best practices are always followed

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Excellent base salary and targeted annual bonus structure; (Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 plus bonus; salary will be determined based on skills, ability, and qualifications)
