Technical Sales Representative (Sales)



An excellent opportunity has arisen for a results-driven sales achiever to join The Euclid Chemical team as a Sales Representative/Business Development in the province of Quebec.  Euclid Chemical is a fully owned subsidiary of RPM International (NYSE: RPM), one of the world's largest coatings companies. For more than 110 years, Euclid Chemical has supplied construction and restoration markets with treatments, sealants, coatings, sealers, decorative products and others. As Technical Sales Representative, you will report directly to the District Sales Manager – Eastern Canada.  

Basic Functions- General Purposes of the Position:

As a Sales Representative, you will be expected to actively seek out and engage customer prospects, calling on construction product distributors, as well as working with contractors, architects, engineers, specifiers, and design professionals to sell Euclid Chemical's wide range of construction products. You will concentrate on core activities including concrete technology seminars, specification development, product / project initiatives and national accounts.  

Major Responsibilities will include:
•    Working directly with owners and design professionals
•    Promoting Euclid Chemical through properly written specifications
•    Providing technical presentations for small and large groups
•    Participating in National Organizations, including ACI, ICRI, etc.
•    Working directly with local sales teams and Business Development to help promote sales of Euclid products. 
•    Reporting on area activities and specification successes. Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
•    Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
•    Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
•    Reach out to customer leads
•    Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, collaborating with Customer Services, to maximize satisfaction
•    Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduled timeframes
•    Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
•    Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports
•    Supply management with reports as requested on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
•    Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

Education and Experience: 
•    A university or college degree in civil engineering will be considered an asset.
•    Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience calling on architectural/engineering firms, general contractors, or other design professionals.
•    Experience in concrete technology and construction products
•    Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including advanced PowerPoint and Excel 
•    Experience with design and implementation of business development strategies.
•    Familiarity with CRM practices along with the ability to build productive professional relationships
•    Possess a valid driver's license and a valid passport.
•    Must be fluent in English and French, spoken and written.
