DarkVision, a Koch Engineering Solutions company, is seeking ambitious, technically minded recent graduates to join our Well Integrity Data Analysis Team in North Vancouver, BC as Pipe Integrity Analysts. This is a full-time, entry-level role where you'll analyze high-resolution ultrasound scans of oil and gas wells to help our clients make critical operational decisions about their multi-million-dollar assets.

This position requires 100% on-site work in the North Vancouver office.

Analysts will begin on a Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule during the duration of their training. After training is complete, they will transition to a 4-week rotation of 12-hour shifts (Tuesday to Tuesday: 8 days on from 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, then 6 days off, with a half shift on Tuesdays for live handover).

Following this, analysts may be selected to transition to a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule that includes alternating day and night shifts: 7 consecutive day shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, followed by 7 days off, then 7 consecutive night shifts 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, followed by 7 days off. Selection for this shift is based on operational needs and individual performance. All candidates must be willing to work night shifts if selected.

This role does not provide work permit sponsorship or relocation support.

Our Team

DarkVision's acoustic imaging technology captures terabytes of high-fidelity data with each run. Our Data Analysis team plays a critical role in the commercial process by analyzing these massive ultrasound datasets using our proprietary visualization software. They are meticulous, methodical, and thorough in providing customers with critical insights that lead to multi-million-dollar actions.

What You Will Do

As a Pipe Integrity Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze terabytes of ultrasound data using proprietary software
  • Identify pipe defects and features in cased wells
  • Build client-facing reports, videos, and 3D images
  • Apply and follow detailed analysis workflows and quality standards
  • Collaborate with peers and internal experts to deliver high-impact insights
  • Learn new tools and analysis methods as DarkVision expands its product offerings

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Willing to work 12-hour shifts and night shifts on rotation after training
  • Able to work on-site in North Vancouver
  • A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or related fields)
  • Eager to learn, problem-solve, and analyze complex data
  • Capable of learning intricate software and technologies through hands on training
  • Comfortable with fast turnarounds and attention to detail
  • Legally eligible to work full-time for any employee in Canada (this role does not offer work permit sponsorship)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Co-op or internship experience in energy or technology sectors
  • Experience with data visualization, 3D modeling, or image processing

General Salary Range

For this role, we anticipate paying around $29 per hour. Both schedules receive a 10% shift premium. Analysts on the 7 days-on, 7 days-off schedule receive an additional 15% premium for night shifts.
