This position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga, ON office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Sr. Cisco Security Engineer to join our Cisco Practice team at Ingram Micro. This role requires strong technical expertise in Cisco's security portfolio, paired with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, Cisco representatives, and reseller partners providing guidance, enablement, and support throughout the solution lifecycle. This role is ideal for a collaborative, customer-facing security professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced distribution and partner-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert for Cisco security products (e.g., Firepower, Umbrella, Secure Endpoint, ISE, Duo, SecureX).
  • Act as a technical liaison between Ingram Micro, Cisco, and channel partners.
  • Provide pre-sales consultation, solution design, and partner enablement for Cisco security offerings.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, webinars, and knowledge transfer sessions to partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying partner opportunities, creating scalable solutions, and supporting business growth initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and solution architects to promote Cisco security technologies.
  • Stay current with Cisco's security portfolio, market trends, and threat intelligence.
  • Travel up to 25% within North America.

What you bring to this role:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in network or security engineering, preferably in a channel, distribution, or vendor environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco security products (Firepower, Umbrella, SecureX, AMP/Secure Endpoint, ISE, etc.).
  • Cisco certifications strongly preferred: CCNP Security, Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate/Professional.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for cybersecurity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in distribution or partner enablement.
  • Familiarity with threat detection, SIEM/XDR platforms, and security architecture.
  • Ability to develop enablement materials, technical guides, or lab environments.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
